Message from the Chairman
Dear Business Partners and Policy Holders,
2021 was a tumultuous and deadliest year where the global Covid-19 pandemic hit the globe hardest.
Relying on our market experience, know-how and responsibility of 25 years, we initiated processes to obtain our Brokering licence.
Emphasizing that we should proceed on our way as a Broker, the most significant motivation of ours was brand-new lines of business that our policy holders or insureds were in need to adjust and adapt themselves to an ever-changing and evolving world and feel themselves assured.
We also needed to adjust ourselves to the changing economic and social conditions, be able to utilize areas of our expertise in the most effective manner and develop services that we provided previously.
2021 was a year we intensively carried out the process when we submitted our application as a Broker and founded our Broking Company while we were carrying on our agent operations at the same time.
We, as a matter of course, continued our operations and services as part of Mesiar Agent, sapping our strength, while these processes were ongoing.
We completed our licence procedure with the Undersecretariat of Treasury in November 2021 and started rendering services by developing our business partnership, as AB Broker, with insurance companies.
For special risk needs to which the local insurance market is unable to respond, we have too often produced solutions from global markets. We received a Broking licence and were thus able to gain a direct access to these markets for more affordable solutions.
We have directed all of our operations in line with responsibilities we shoulder as a Broker now since 2022.
Among the most important elements that have further motivated us are the ambition and faith, and skill and entrepreneurial spirit of our colleagues who took pains during the process of transition. While embracing a challenging change in a year of tough sledding, we took balanced decisions and achieved successful and fruitful results in a period where our market was under pressure exerted by pandemic and climate crises.
I would like to specifically emphasize that we, AB Broker, are always besides all of our stakeholders, whether they are small or large-scale enterprises, thanks to our staff of specialists and experts with great competence, and our developed technical infrastructure and financial strength.
With power and inspiration we have received from our values, we created value for all of stakeholders, in particular, for our employees - our invaluable investment - where we are focused on carrying out all of our activities by providing an added value to an inclusive society as well as a safe and healthy future.
We, AB Broker, do and will continue our efforts to believe and make investments in Türkiye and to provide perfect services to all of our stakeholders and policy holders in all lines of business in spite of the inflation trend rising and global economic fluctuations encountered across the globe.
